1. Introduction & Core Philosophy

This privacy policy applies to the Checklistar application (herein referred to as the "Application") developed by Kaivalya as an Individual developer.

I believe your personal productivity flow, tasks, and schedules should remain private. This Application is designed as a no user registrations (no-logins), offline-first application. I do not host servers to store your checklists or task descriptions.

2. Local Data Storage & Security

All data created by you within the Application—including but not limited to task names, reminder times, custom labels, and to-do lists—is stored directly on your device's local storage (SQLite, Shared Preferences, or LocalStorage). I do not collect, store, or share any personal information or device data of the users. All app operations are performed locally on your device.

• No Server Uploads: Your productivity data is never transmitted to an external database owned by me.
• Data Loss Risk: Because data is stored completely locally, deleting or uninstalling the Application will permanently erase your data. I am unable to recover lost tasks or reminders for you.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the core features of this Application free, certain premium productivity features are locked. Users can voluntarily watch advertisements to unlock these premium features for a designated period.

These advertisements are served through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device information, including:

• Your device's Advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA).
• IP address (used to infer general location for localized ads).
• Device brand, model, operating system version, and mobile network provider.
• Interaction data (whether you watched the full rewarded ad to unlock the app feature).

4. Device Permissions Explained

To provide full productivity features, the Application may request the following system permissions:

• Notifications / Alarms (Exact Alarms): Required strictly to trigger system alerts for your scheduled reminders and due tasks.
• Internet Access: Required purely for Google AdMob to fetch video advertisements and track reward delivery validation.

5. Children's Privacy

The Application does not intentionally target or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). Because no personal information is requested to use the application, children can safely manage tasks offline. However, third-party advertising partners may serve context-aware or personalized advertisements subject to their unique regional age restrictions. 6. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because the Application operates locally, you retain ultimate control over your data. You can exercise your privacy rights easily:

• Data Deletion/Erasure: You can wipe all data, logs, and settings instantaneously by clearing the App Data cache in your device system settings or by uninstalling the app.
• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can limit or reset ad-tracking directly through your Android or iOS System Privacy settings (e.g., "Opt-out of Ads Personalization").

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. If I introduce cloud-syncing or login requirements in future updates, this policy will change substantially. You are advised to review this page periodically for updates. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to this URL.
